We provide hands-on workshops and afterschool enrichment programing rooted in the positive youth development framework. By assisting youth in exploring their talents, we directly addresses three of the five domains of positive youth development- Competence, Confidence, and Connection.
Participants learn new skills and techniques that can translate into interest or competence in a STEAM or trade-related field. They gain confidence and a sense of pride by building something from start to finish and seeing a completed project. Workshops and programs help build connections between participants through learning and shared accomplishments.
Each participant starts with uncut raw materials and leaves the program with a sense of accomplishment, pride and a functional finished project.
